Summer makes every effort to create designs that are not only beautiful, but also enjoyable to stitch. She encourages needleworkers to make color changes, use different embellishments, or even different threads to truly make a design their own. Summer began stitching at age eleven and fell in love with all forms of needlework. Many years later she joined American Needlepoint Guild and is currently enrolled at the Journeyman II Level in the Master Teacher Program. Look for her to teach at the ANG Seminar 2009 in Milwaukee. Originally born in Utah, Summer attended the University of Utah. She traveled throughout the United States before settling in Seattle, Washington. Her husband, Brad, is a Washington native and together they have two daughters, Victoria and Madeline, and a son, Travis. |
